Eternal Flame - Angel bio

This piece of excellence was created by my good friend as a gift for my birthday, even if it is a bit early. But considering how good it turned out, I'd be jazzed to upload it right away myself! The armor Ashton is wearing here is the armor he wore when he dueled the Azure Knight. I took a picture of it in Soulcalibur 4, and this turned out to be an extremely accurate illustration of it. Saved from death as an infant by the Eternal Flame, bestowed upon him by Ho-Oh, Ashton was gifted with the phoenix's power. But it was not until he witnessed a bandit attack on his family that the Eternal Flame first manifested itself in him. As a permanent testament to the power within him, a pair of Z-shaped scars were burned into his face just under his eyes. When the Eternal Flame becomes active within Ashton the Z-shaped scars under his eyes become much bolder and his eyes change to match Ho-Oh's fiery red eyes. But when he unleashes the power of the Eternal Flame to its absolute maximum, he gains a pair of wings along with the previous changes. These two great wings are composed entirely of flames and flicker in a rainbow of colors, proof that it is the power of the Rainbow Pokemon, Ho-Oh. While the wings lack physical mass, they give Ashton the power of flight and can shield him from attacks if he folds them over his body.

Until he became fully aware of the power that dwelt inside his soul, Ashton could only harness the Eternal Flame during bursts of extreme emotion, usually rage. This was often in response to extreme danger or due to other factors that incited anger within his mind. During these incidents, his personality would become the same as fire's destructive nature. He was bloodthirsty and never let up on his enemy until they were no longer alive. Once the threat was dealt with, he would usually pass out from fatigue. After awakening, he had no knowledge of what had occurred.

It was only after a spiritual encounter with Ho-Oh herself that Ashton acquired complete control over his own potential. And he embraced the title she bestowed upon him. Angel of the Eternal Flame. From that moment forward, Ashton was able to tap into the power of the Eternal Flame at will.

With the Eternal Flame at its strongest, Ashton gains access to all of Ho-Oh's abilities and moveset. But while he gains her strengths, he also acquires her weaknesses. Being forcefully sprayed with water can take a toll on his stamina while he cannot melt large rocks quickly, making him more vulnerable to rock slides. And during flight, he is an easy target for lightning strikes.

Along with great offensive powers, the Eternal Flame also has miraculous restorative properties. When it is unleashed to its fullest, Ashton's wounds heal quickly, but more serious wounds can take a little longer unless he directly focuses on the damaged area of his body. However, fatal injuries are beyond the power of the Eternal Flame, but it can still prolong Ashton's life by slowing the loss of blood. This does not apply to injuries that result in instant death, such as decapitation.

While the Eternal Flame is active, Ashton's pyrokinetic abilities intensify, allowing for a greater array of fire-based attacks and moves. Much like the Devil of the Eternal Flame, he can extend ropes of fire from his hands that can be used to grab his enemies or anything else he wishes. This is also an invaluable ability that allows him to retrieve his weapon should he become separated from it. The ropes of fire end with a hand-like form and can extend over great distances. They also will not burn anything they touch unless Ashton wills it.

With the Eternal Flame active, Ashton is capable of pulling off a number of spectacular moves that are as amazing as they are destructive. One is the infamous Crimson Blossom. After snatching up his target in a rope of fire and holding it high off the ground, he closes his hand into a fist, causing the opponent to be completely obliterated in a flash of fire that strongly resembles a large flower. However, the Crimson Blossom is more complex than it looks. When Ashton closes his hand into a fist, rather than crush and burn the target, the flames quickly enter the mouth and nose of the victim and extend down into the lungs before rapidly expanding, causing the victim to explode. All bones, flesh, and organs are incinerated while the blood somehow ignites, causing the flames to "blossom" as the blood burns into long and flat designs. Due to the barbaric nature of this move, Ashton is very unwilling to use it unless he feels his foe deserves such a fate. Ashton's most renowned ability that is powered by the Eternal Flame is the Phoenix Maelstrom, which literally turns Ashton into a rapidly spinning projectile that "drills" its way through anything that gets in his way. With his wings of flames tightly folded around him, Ashton goes into a spin, causing the flames to resemble a flaming spinning arrowhead. By combining the heat with the pressure of the impact and the rapid rotation, this attack is capable of burrowing through almost anything by melting the object with the extreme heat. Another attack that is powered by the Eternal Flame is the Firestorm. After first creating a large sphere of fire in front of him, Ashton uses the Flamberge to create a powerful gust of wind, sending the flames towards his enemies. The wind causes the flames to intensify and rapidly spread, creating a terrible inferno that few can survive.

Even when the Eternal Flame is not active, Ashton still has access to a small array of pyrokinetic abilities. He was even aware of these small powers before he became aware of the Eternal Flame's existence. He can create small flames for various reasons, such as lighting a torch or candle. He is also immune to fire and can control the element however he wishes.

A trait the Eternal Flame grants to all hosts is the ability to be revived should the host suffer an untimely death. However, this resurrection shortly after death is a one-time deal and will only occur once every lifetime. The Eternal Flame also seems to slow down the aging process of its host to a certain degree, especially for the body's external features. When Ashton perished from old age at 115 years old, his outward appearance was that of a man in his 50s. But by far the most mystifying gift the Eternal Flame bestows upon its host is the ability to come back to life 500 years after death. Upon being revived, the host's body takes on the form it was when it was in its prime. For Ashton, it was when he was 15 years old. What is more, the Eternal Flame is somehow passed down from parent to child, as each of Ashton's children hosted it, as did their children and so on.

Having been revived, Ashton now travels with his descendants from Zandria's side of the family while struggling to understand modern technology. His skill with the Eternal Flame is as strong as ever and his experience in combat will likely see him through his second lifetime.
